TSUNAMI WAVE LOADING ON A STRUCTURAL ARRAY PARTIALLY SHELTERED BY A SEAWALL

چکیده
In recent years tsunamis have been recognized as one of the most catastrophic natural disasters in world, highlighted by 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and 2011 Tohoku earthquake tsunami. These countries affected like Indonesia, Thailand Japan usually arm their coast with sea walls to provide protection for coastal urban regions; however, surveys found during both events, several sections breached had led extensive damage those regions (Dalrymple Kriebel, 2005; Sato, 2015). Previous studies examined sheltering effect macroroughness individual structures, but limited knowledge is available on flow concentration a partially standing wall field structural array. The result from this experiment will serve better understanding loading variation induced different length partial seawalls, help prepare more accurate hazard maps events.

Investigation of the waves generated by underwater disturbances gives precious insight into the effect of man-made underwater explosions as well as natural phenomena, such as underwater volcanoes or oceanic meteor impact. On the other hand, prediction of the effects of such waves on the coastal installations and structures is required for preparation worthwhile criteria for coastal engineers to...
متن کاملa study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market
the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.
